Privacy First Design. PetPal is designed to keep your data private and secure on your device. We believe your pet care information should stay with you.

1. Data Collection - The Simple Truth

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers.

All information you enter into PetPal is stored locally on your device, including:

Pet profiles and photos
Food, water, and exercise tracking data
Medicine information and schedules
Vet appointment details
Notification preferences

2. How Your Data is Stored

Your data stays on your iPhone or iPad using iOS's secure local storage:

Local Storage Only: All data remains on your device
No Cloud Sync: We don't sync your data to any cloud service
No Accounts: No login required, no account creation, no server storage
Your Control: You can delete all data at any time by deleting the app

3. Notifications

PetPal uses local notifications to remind you about pet care tasks:

All notifications are generated locally on your device
No data is sent to external servers to trigger notifications
You can enable/disable notifications in iOS Settings or within the app

4. Apple's Data Collection

While PetPal itself doesn't collect data, Apple may collect standard app analytics if you have enabled "Share iPhone Analytics" in your iOS settings:

Crash reports and performance data
General usage statistics (no personal data)

This is controlled by your iOS settings and is used by Apple to help developers improve app stability. Learn more about Apple's privacy practices.

5. No Third-Party Services

PetPal does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your data is never shared with anyone because we never have access to it.

6. Children's Privacy

PetPal includes a Kid Mode feature designed for children to safely help with pet care. Since all data is stored locally and we don't collect any information, children can use the app safely under parental supervision.

7. Data Backup

Your PetPal data may be included in your iOS device backup:

iCloud Backup: If enabled, your device backup may include PetPal data
iTunes/Finder Backup: Local computer backups may include PetPal data

These backups are controlled by your iOS settings and Apple's privacy policy, not by PetPal.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date. Since we don't collect contact information, we can't notify you directly of changes.
