How do I add a pet?

To add a new pet:

  1. Open the PetPal app
  2. Tap the "+" button on the dashboard
  3. Enter your pet's name and select their species (from 12 options)
  4. Add a photo or use the default species icon
  5. Set how long food typically lasts (1-72 hours)
  6. Set how long water typically lasts (1-48 hours)
  7. Set exercise/cleaning interval (1-720 hours)
  8. Tap "Save" to create the profile

How do I track food and water?

Food and water tracking is automatic once you set up your pet:

  1. Open your pet's profile
  2. You'll see circular progress indicators for food and water
  3. When you refill food or water, tap "Refill" to reset the timer
  4. The app will notify you when levels drop below 20%
  5. You can customize durations in the pet's settings

How do I add medicine for my pet?

To track medication:

  1. Open your pet's profile
  2. Scroll to the "Medicine" section
  3. Tap "Add Medicine"
  4. Enter the medicine name and dosage
  5. Set the frequency (hourly, daily, weekly, or custom interval)
  6. Tap "Save"
  7. Use the "Give" button to mark when medicine is administered

Can I manage multiple pets?

Yes! PetPal allows you to create and manage profiles for unlimited pets. Track all your pets from one convenient dashboard with color-coded status indicators.

What species does PetPal support?

PetPal supports 12 different pet species:

How do I schedule a vet visit?

To schedule a vet appointment:

  1. Open your pet's profile
  2. Scroll to the "Vet Visits" section
  3. Tap "Add Vet Visit"
  4. Enter the vet's name and clinic
  5. Set the appointment date and time
  6. Add visit reason/notes
  7. Tap "Save"

Your upcoming appointments will appear with "Today" or "Tomorrow" badges for easy visibility.

What is Kid Mode?

Kid Mode is a simplified interface that allows children to help with pet care safely:

How do I delete a pet?

To delete a pet profile:

  1. Open your pet's profile
  2. Tap the "Edit" button
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Tap "Delete Pet"
  5. Confirm your decision

Note: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All data for that pet will be deleted.
